These limited edition authentic handmade Mexican blankets are half the width of our other yoga blankets. A mat-sized yoga blanket measures 24" wide by 72" long.

This half size yoga blanket is great for those who:  

•   would like a single layer of cushioning or insulation over or under their yoga mat,
•   are looking for a lightweight and portable blanket,
•   want a prop that is not so bulky as other yoga blankets - you can still roll or fold this blanket, but with less bulk (for example, placing behind your knees or under your ankles in kneeling poses),
•   could use a small roll for lumbar support when sitting,
•   want a small blanket for kids in the house...or for kids to take to yoga class.

The mat size yoga blanket is made of an acrylic, polyester, and cotton blend. They are soft to the touch. Machine washable and they are handmade and hand woven in Mexico.

These blankets have many uses. Mexican blankets are used frequently in Iyengar and restorative yoga practices. They can be used folded under sitting poses to cushion bones and joints, underneath you in repose positions to insulate from cold flooring, rolled or folded to provide support in poses, or just as a cover to warm you in Savasana.
